Light up the night at this star-spangled outdoor festival! Our free Rock and Rockets Fourth of July celebration returns this summer with music, food and fireworks. Party under the stars with live music by headliners Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band performing timeless hits by The Beach Boys. Local favorite Doug Collins will open the night with classic Beatles-esque and Americana sounds. Try treats from local food trucks, and watch the skies sparkle with fireworks! Spend an unforgettable evening at the Mystic Amphitheater (and feel free to bring your own lawn chairs and blankets). It’s going to be a blast!

Summer at the Lake rolls on with classic hits by The Beach Boys performed by headliners Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band! Local songwriter Doug Collins kicks off the night.

Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band
Al Jardine, guitarist, vocalist and songwriter, is best known for being one of the founding members of The Beach Boys. Al played guitar, arranged and produced many songs and sang lead on the No. 1 hit "Help Me, Rhonda." Throughout the last decade and a half, Al has continuously toured with Brian Wilson, The Beach Boys (on their 50^th Anniversary Tour) and on his own with his Endless Summer Band. In 2025, Al Jardine reformed the incredibly talented and seasoned members of Brian Wilson’s touring band for many years as The Pet Sounds Band. This new show includes The Beach Boys’ greatest hits like “California Girls,” ”Help Me Rhonda,” “I Get Around,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice,” “Sloop John B,” “Surfin’ USA” and “Fun, Fun, Fun” as well as radio singles and fan favorites from The Beach Boys’ critically-acclaimed ‘70s albums.

Doug Collins
Called "one of the most brilliant songwriters to emerge from the Twin Cities in nearly two decades" by southernminn.com, Doug Collins's hooky mix of Beatles-esque pop and classic country are highlighted in his energetic shows, soulful singing and honest, emotional songs. His last two albums were voted "Best of the Year" by the Minnesota Star Tribune and his most recent, “Good Sad News,” was voted No. 3 best American release in Spain by Ruta66 Magazine.
